(Married Couples)

The Heart to Heart Ministry for married couples seeks to provide support, encouragement, and spiritual enrichment to all married couples. We seek to cultivate happy and healthy relationships by nurturing and empowering married couples to enjoy each other, and build Christ centered marriages. We seek to enhance and strengthen our relationships with each other and learn skills to have successful relationships by using Gods word as our guide.

To point married couples to Christ through teaching, praying, and building healthy relationships and promoting families and homes with God as the head.

When was the last time that you have thought about how your family can grow in Christ and make a difference for the kingdom?  Now is the perfect time to evaluate what your life really looks like and to implement changes that can help you and your family grow stronger together.  It's time to get back to God's Word, experience Him on a daily basis, and make the changes that need to be made. 

Some tips to becoming a family of purpose:

  1. Pray with your spouse every day. This is the single most important investment you could make in your marriage.  Prayer is one of the most intimate forms of communication that God gives us.
  2. Never say the "D" word (divorce).  There are only 2 things that will mend your marriage and they are 2 hearts that are grounded in Christ and hard work. Decide together that divorce is not an option.
  3. Study your spouse.  People change and so do their needs.  Know what your spouse’s needs are.  Write down 3 things that you know will show your spouse your love for them--then make them all happen REALLY soon. 
  4. Have daily quiet time (EVERY DAY).  God has given us His Word to help us survive in a hostile world.  The Bible cannot light a dark path if it's still lying on a table somewhere covered with dust.
  5. Fast from TV for one month.  This will limit isolation in your family & give you time to do all those "little things" that you have been putting off.
  6. Hug & Kiss your kids.  How many times have you heard young women say that they sought affection from boys because they never received it from their fathers?  Don't make that mistake with your child.
  7. Plan dates with your kids. By doing this, you not only give undivided attention to each child, you show them that they are important to you.  Ephesians 6:4,  "And, fathers do not provoke your children to anger; but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord."  If our children are to receive our "discipline and instruction", then we need to build and maintain a relationship with them.
